Loomis Golf shafts have always been synonymous with high-quality and performance with exceptional feel. Founder Gary Loomis was a fisherman by hobby and an machinist by trade. He blended his passion and knowledge to create the densest laminate possible which yielded the strongest and highest quality fishing rods available.
Gary Looomis' design concepts, production equipment and processing techniques have been successfully carried over into the composite golf shaft industry under the direction of Jeffrey and Robert Meyer. Our shafts are stronger and higher-performing with the best club feel available.

Jeffrey Meyer
President and Design Engineer
Jeff Meyer is a veteran in the golf business with over 24 years of product development experience. Jeff started his career in the golf industry as a Design Engineer with Aldila after graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Louis Obispo. While at Aldila, Jeff developed composite golf shafts for Callaway, Taylor Made, Ping, Spalding and many other OEM's.
In 1992, Jeff relocated to the state of Washington where he was the Vice President of Engineering at G. Loomis, Inc. where his composite engineering and design experience immediately influenced their products. By 1994, the G. Loomis tour iron shaft was the number one graphite iron shaft played on the PGA Tour with as many as 47 sets in play. After the sale of G. Loomis Golf in 1996, Jeff assumed the role of Director of Golf Shaft Development for the Acushnet Company and in 2003 was promoted to Director of Metal Wood Development for Tiltleist.
Jeff is the inventor or co-inventor on numerous U.S. Patents and Trademarks and has the ability to take products from concept to market with a high degree of success.
Robert Meyer
Vice-President, Marketing and Tour Relations.
Robert Meyer received his bachelor's degree in Finance from BYU in 1985 and had a very successful collegiate golf career, which included winning the 1980 NCAA Championship. He was also a two-time collegiate All-American, winner of four collegiate events, including the 1984 WAC Championship. Robert's junior golf career included winning Junior Worlds, two time Player of the Year for the Northern California Junior Golf Association, three time Sacramento High School player of the year, as well as countless other tournament victories.
After BYU, Robert played various professional golf tours including the Australian/Asian Tour, Canadian Tour and the Golden State Tour. Robert also qualified for numerous PGA Tour events, including the 1991 U.S. Open at Hazeltine. Robert won two Canadian Tour events, San Diego County Open, Southern California Open, Pasadena Open and numerous other professional tournaments while sponsoring himself.
In 1999, Robert accepted a job with Graphite Design International as their Tour representative. By 2004, Graphite Design shafts were the number one played shaft on the PGA Tour at the Tournament Players Championship with 87 shafts in play due to his efforts.
